My paper flowers have been the focus in my studio as time only seems to permit drawing rather than painting these days. Which is fine by me as tulips and daffodils are staring to show up in my favorite stores, two flowers which lend themselves wonderfully to my drawings. However, these hyacinths flowers caught my eyes with there shocking pink color, and before I new it I was purchasing these bright flowers instead of the lovely white hyacinths, or the daffodils to the left. I tend to gravitate to white flowers, and I am not sure I can explain why.... but, I do appreciate a good pop of color too!
As I am winding up this blog post I cannot help but wonder when I will find the time to paint again, I hope soon, as my paints seem to be staring at me more than usual these days and I have tones of ideas floating around my head.
