daisy on my mind

This week I have gotten no closer to being able to write about my dog Daisy, but for the first time since she past, I was able to draw again. With the spring weather that swept into Chicago dusting off the long winter, and Daisy never leaving my thoughts, I sat down and drew Daisies for Daisy. For every petal drawn, a memory came; the sound of her bark, her freckles I love to count, and the mean squirrels she loved to chase. Someday I will be able to express in words what she meant to my studio, me, and everyone she knew. Just not today...
